POSITION                  Engineering Surveyor

THE ROLE

As we enter an exciting period of growth, we are happy to have an opportunity for an experienced Engineering Surveyor responsible for pre-sales surveying, post sales surveying, quality assurance and Documentation of works for the installation, management and service of Optimity’s products.

DUTIES (amongst others)

Sales survey works – Detailed report to ascertain project scope, deliverables, resources, times and costs. Documentation should be kept to produce post sale documentation.

    • Provisioning Survey – Detailed on site survey for works, production of report for engineering, wayleave, legals, clients and handover to provisioning
    • Meeting with Landlords and Clients to agree installation.
    • Communicate with Project manager to outline the Method statement, routes and requirements
    • Creation of Margin Calculations for sales and provisioning
    • Guide and support engineers on site depending on size of project, from surveying knowledge
    • Creation and maintenance of documentation to ensure records are kept up to date for node buildings
    • Maintaining Ofcom / Telecoms Standards
    • Act as an ambassador for Optimity at all times as a presentable communicator
    • Creation of Photo Method Statement and Risk Assessments
    • Management of customer disconnects including the arranging of equipment removal, and network re-planning
    • Assisting in for all FWA deployments on the network
    • Survey for Line-of-sight checks for new opportunities
    • Creation of H&S documentation of RAMS from site surveys, working closely with GIS technician and models
    • Practice and promote best practice
    • Responsible for quality of all deliverables
    • Surveying works to ensure completed to required standards
    • Demonstrate best practice and adhere to strict H&S procedures

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 years experience in FWA
  • Networks experience desirable
  • 2 years working for MSP or ISP Engineering background
  • Good knowledge of networks, both WAN and LAN
  • Cisco and Juniper knowledge
  • Experience of FWA deployment and engineering
  • Project management experience
  • Engineering excellence
